Apartment Itinerary With Swiss Travel Pass

Day 01: Interlaken / Grindelwald – Griwarent Apartment
Arrival in Interlaken/Grindelwald by train (2nd class) from any Swiss border or airport. Day at leisure. Overnight stay in the apartment.
Day 02: Interlaken / Grindelwald – Jungfraujoch
Excursion from Interlaken to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. The highest railway station in Europe is located 3454 m/11333 ft. Visitors have access to a high-Alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock, which they can admire from the viewing platforms on the Aletsch Glacier or in the Ice Palace. The railway journey to the Jungfraujoch is an experience which leads through the Eiger and the Mönch. At the Eismeer and Eigerwand intermediate stations, visitors can enjoy the beautiful view from the Eiger North Face. Return back and overnight stay in the apartment.
Day 03: Interlaken / Grindelwald – Lucerne – Mt. Titlis
Enjoy a ride in the first revolving gondola to Mount Titlis at 3020 m/10,000 ft. Board the LSE-train to Engelberg. From there, a small gondola takes you up to the Trübsee. And then another gondola to Stand. Finally the revolving gondola takes you up to Mount Titlis. For a spectacular, close-up insight into a glacier, you visit the glacier cave and ride the Ice Flyer chairlift. And get your thrills on the Titlis Cliff Walk, a spectacular suspension bridge at a height of 3041 m/10000 ft. Take the train back to your apartment and stay overnight.
Day 04: Interlaken / Grindelwald – Zurich – Rhine Falls, FIFA & Lindt Chocolate
This morning take a train to Neuhausen, and further connect to a short bus ride in order to arrive at Rhine Falls. The Rhine Falls is only 23 metres high but has an impressive width of 150 metres, and an average of 25000 cubic feet of water per second (700m3/sec) plunge over the falls in summer. Experience boat ride to have a closer look of Rhine Falls. Later visit to the FIFA World Football Museum covering approx. 3000 square meters of exhibition space, the museum examines all aspects of the world of football. An interactive world illustrates how the game stirs people’s emotions on a daily basis. Lindt – Home of Chocolate. The modern, light-flooded museum building offers 20000m2 of chocolate fascination with a chocolate fountain, multimedia exhibition, café, workshops and the largest Lindt Chocolate Shop. A perfect destination for all chocolate lovers from home and abroad. Overnight stay in the apartment.
Day 05: Interlaken / Grindelwald – Schilthorn
This is a free day to explore the city on your own or you can take an optional excursion to Schilthorn – Magic Mountain. Take a train to Lauterbrunnen and onward journey by bus to reach Stechelberg, base point for Schilthorn excursion. It takes approximately 30 mins to reach the Schilthorn Top by cable car. From the top, at almost 3000 metres altitude, you can admire the breathtaking 3600 alpine panorama. Enjoy the world’s first revolving mountain top restaurant, Piz Gloria, which rotates slowly. You can also visit the ‘Touristorama’ – a multimedia room where you can watch the highlights from the James Bond film ‘ On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ and multi- vision show on the region. Return to your apartment the same way for an overnight stay.
Day 06: Interlaken / Grindelwald – Glacier 3000
Take the train to Gstaad via Zweisimmen. Enjoy the Golden Pass Line from Zweisimmen to Gstaad. Take a short bus ride to arrive at Col Du Pillon, base station to Glacier 3000, and from there on, by cable car to the Glacier 3000. Once on top, there are various activities for young and old, the one kilometre Alpine Coaster – the world’s highest bobsleigh track, husky dog sled rides, the snow bus and skiing. There are also 2 restaurants- Botta 3000 and the Old Egg where you can enjoy anything from small snacks to local specialities with the spectacular view thrown in for free. Return back to your apartment and overnight.
Day 07: Interlaken / Grindelwald – Lucerne – Mt. Rigi
Today you can Visit Mt. Rigi, also called as “The Queen of Mountains”. Take the train to Lucerne. You need to travel till the Pier, which is located opposite to the train station and then take the boat to Vitznau. After arriving Vitznau take Cogwheel Railway which takes you till the top of the mountain – RIGI Kulm. Enjoy the breathtaking view from the TOP of the Mountain. Free time on your own. Take the same route to come back to Lucerne or take alternate route which goes down from Rigi Kulm to Arth-Goldau and then, from there take a train to Lucerne. Back to Interlaken and overnight at the apartment.
Day 08: End of tour
Return to any swiss border or swiss airport or continue you stay in Switzerland on your own.
